And may the glimmer of summer dance across your pathways

Oh no you don't !

These two scoundrels were attempting to sneak into my vegetable garden when my back was turned. I shouted no, no, no and two very startled rabbits hopped away as fast as they could. Cheeky little devils thought they were going to have a free lunch on me.

Talking about lunch. I spotted these two bald eagles across the pasture from our house. The pasture was being mowed so I presume the eagles were waiting to see if the tractor would scare up a rabbit, mouse or some other critter for their lunch.

Rotten rabbits!! When the dogs were at the kennel the rabbits made good use of the time they were absent from the garden. My husband said to go bark at them!
:-D
Love the eagles!!

Now those are some interesting wildlife. All I've got right now are the crow's that are using my birdbath to soak their food.
Glad you caught the rabbits. Have any ever snuck inside the gate and gotten closed in before?

We have rabbit nests and baby bunnies hopping everywhere throughout the garden ... sad when they mow down my favorites but can't seem to keep them under control, even by planting tons of extra parsley to tempt them :) Your eagles are beauties ... we have them nesting and constant visitors at the cottage. Happy June gardening!

Well maybe those eagles will take care of your rabbit problem. I left my garden gate open the other day. When I saw it I was worried, but nothing was chomped down. Thanks goodness.

Dinzie, what can I say, my hubbie and I are just a couple of old softies, we love our near-pet bunnies, even if they are a nuisance.

Catherine I usually double check the garden, just to make sure I don't lock any rabbits in there.

awww, I'm a softie too KeeWee. I have baby bunnies in my garden and no matter what they eat, I can't get mad at them! No eagles tho ~ that's fantastic.

Ha ha ha. Those rabbits are lucky the eagles didn't see them. You've got too much wildlife on your hands!

Of course those darn wabbits can't eat YOUR food, but just think of little Peter Rabbit -http://wiredforbooks.org/kids/beatrix/p1.htm and his tears......
Lovely to find you Jennifer and thanks for the e-mail xx
