Kia hora te manno
Kia whakapapa paumamu te moana
Kia tere te Karohirohi

May the calm be widespread
May the sea glisten like the greenstone
And may the glimmer of summer dance across your pathways

Did you miss me?

I has, up until today, been a very wet dreary winter, and I just haven't been interested in blogging, which seems to happen to many of us. There is not a whole lot going on in our gardens, and if we have not had any snow to take pictures of, then there isn't really much to show or tell about.
As I said, today was different, the sun came out and the temperature was in the mid 50's a perfect day to get out and start cleaning up my vegetable garden.
I pulled weeds, trimmed the ornamental grasses in the flower pots, and began the task of turning over the soil in the raised beds. This year they are going to get plenty of rich compost and manure, but I have not decided which to use, steer or chicken manure.

There are many weeds growing in the gravel surrounding the raised beds, so I will be busy getting them pulled before they take over.
I was a lovely day outdoors, and I feel the stirring of Spring fever. Bring it on, I am ready to start planting.
