Kia hora te manno
Kia whakapapa paumamu te moana
Kia tere te Karohirohi

May the calm be widespread
May the sea glisten like the greenstone
And may the glimmer of summer dance across your pathways

Laggin' behind

April 2nd 2009

March 20th 2008

No wonder I am feeling antsy. I want to see all my beautiful tulips.

UPDATE:
7am Saturday 4th March. I followed my instincts last evening and covered all the new plants in my vegetable garden. This morning we have FROST.

I have another crop of frosted pots.

Not lagging behind. You are a month ahead of us here in southern Ohio near Dayton. We are still having freezing temperatures in the mornings and frost and chilly winds at 30 - 40 miles an hour. Everything is still under the ground or just peeping up.

Your flowers are neat.

I am just now seeing a little bit of foliage starting to pop out, so you are definitely ahead..and don't feel bad about your seeds, I have done that failingly for a couple of years

Mine are just up about 3 inches in So Indiana. My moms garden is in town and they are more protected and up more, but out here there is no protection and they are a bit behind. Chance of snow Monday, so I am kinda thankful my things are more "tucked in" ~Brooke

I love all those beautiful blooms you have. Don't sell them away.
About the frost, I don't know, I don't have that here. But I always put a big basket covering my plants when it's too hot. My plants might just be burnt.

Love the new frosted pots. Do you plan on applying for a patent so you can receive royalties? I think you should. I love your comparison between years. It's not just us gardeners being spoiled. Plants really, truly are behind schedule and your post proves it,so thank you very much!

It's supposed to be warm over the next few days...oh please, Lord!!! Please. :)

I was noticing how behind my plants are too. I like the little lattice fence you have around your tullips! Today looks like a sunny day. Hope you get a chance to get outside. Maybe it will encourage the flowers!

Good thinking getting those pots ready!! Better to have frosted pots than frosted plants.
