At the end of last Autumn I took three cuttings of this lovely coleus, dipped the stems in rooting hormone powder, and placed them in starting mix. I must say, I am rather tickled that all three have grown, and are looking so healthy.
All three of the Coleus are going to be transplanted into this new blue pot, I came across at a garage sale last year. I think I will like the contrast between the blue pot and the lime green shades of the coleus. I will keep you posted as the plants grow and fill out.

It looks as if spring has arrived in your neck of the woods!I like the combination of the blue and lime green.As you said in a previous post you don't need colour as the greens have so many different hues
Congrats on the Coleus...where are they located in your home? I have a hard time keeping them alive inside..
Jennifer~~ If I'm not mistaken you've got a photo of 'Glennis' one my absolute favorite coleus [I call them colei for plural. Same thing with Crocus=Crokee. No wonder people give me strange looks.] Good eye on finding the blue pot. Don't you just love it when a gem comes your way? My garden buddy Carol, like you, has no problem rooting Coleus. Me? They always rot.

I had the most gorgeous coleus last summer and didn't take cuttings in the fall. I really should have. I just bought some seeds and thinking of doing some winter sowing of coleus.... we'll see.
they'll look great :O) We don't have many plants in the house .. .Not sure why ...

I love blue, and that pot is sure a pretty one...it will look great with your coleus inside. It is always a nice surprise to see things grow from cuttings, and you've inspired me to give that a try (next time) I have the opportunity. As it was, I allowed my plants to die back in the yard and they're covered w/snow at the moment!
