Kia hora te manno
Kia whakapapa paumamu te moana
Kia tere te Karohirohi

May the calm be widespread
May the sea glisten like the greenstone
And may the glimmer of summer dance across your pathways

The birds know

I shot this video just outside our front door. There was a huge flock of both starlings and red winged blackbirds, sharing the trees surrounding our house, as they sang their songs, hoping to attract a mate. Whenever I hear so many birds singing at one time, I know Spring is not too far away.

Hi Jennifer~~ May I say that I LOVE your accent? I could sit and listen to you all day. Your bird friends sure seem happy. I'm almost afraid to admit it but it is starting to feel like spring. Knock on wood. :)

You do have a cute accent! We have had an abundance of birdies chirping their heads off around here too...
