Kia hora te manno
Kia whakapapa paumamu te moana
Kia tere te Karohirohi

May the calm be widespread
May the sea glisten like the greenstone
And may the glimmer of summer dance across your pathways

The sweetest of memories

We all have special memories many brought back , by places we have been, people we love, perfumes wafting on the air, things we have been given, and by many other means.
This pretty little vase was from a relative who meant much to me, and the sweet peas bring back memories of my mother and her garden full of sweet scented flowers.
This is the largest bunch of sweet peas and lavender I have picked thus far, and there is promise of many, many more bouquets from my garden.

I have never grown sweet peas. A friend of my Grandma had them growing on a delicate trellis going up the side of her garage. She had so many, she could make huge bouquets of them. Such a pretty scent. Yours look lovely in that special vase. Have a nice weekend.

I have never grown sweet peas, but I do work with them at the flower shop and always loved the fragrance.

They are a flower that seems to go in and out of fashion ... We grow them for the scent and the colour of course...

We can have them growing through teh winter here but I think they are still better sown in spring ...

I have always love sweet peas. I don't grow them, but I should since I admire them in other people's garden. I think I might try next year. -Jackie

Sweet peas are by far, my favorite flower for nostalgia! I still grow them, just because my Dad did. And because I love their ruggedness. Thanks for a great post and for following me.

Sweet peas are one flower that can stir so many memories. I have not grown them for a few years but am so glad I did this year as they smell devine especially after a shower of rain.
