Kia hora te manno
Kia whakapapa paumamu te moana
Kia tere te Karohirohi

May the calm be widespread
May the sea glisten like the greenstone
And may the glimmer of summer dance across your pathways

I am so excited.

Three days ago I set out two hummingbird feeders, and late yesterday afternoon, as I sat at the kitchen table eating dinner, something flashed by the window. I was so excited in my trying to tell my honey what I was looking at, that I almost choked on my mouth full of food. Now I am really starting to feel as though spring is truly on the way.

By the way, I am so proud of myself for learning how to put a collage together. It took me a couple of hours playing around, and some frustration, before I finally figured out how it all fit together.

Hi KeeWee, I am excited for you too and your collage turned out great. I always think when I see my first hummingbird that spring is truly close by. My girlfriend saw one the other day so I should see them soon too.

You did a mightly good job on that collage. Everyone is talking about them on the blogs. I haven't made the attempt yet, but probably will soon. I like the white space in between your pictures.

Hummingbirds already! Earlier I saw that someone had butterflies and now I see that you have hummingbirds. At least I have a crocus and iris in bloom. It won't be long and I'll get to see the hummers again too!

Great job on the collage!

Wow- your hummingbirds must remember where you live from year to year. I can't wait to see them in my yard. Always a sure sign spring is almost here. Great pictures!

Excellent, we are suppose to have hummingbirds wintering here in Southern Florida but I never seen one in all the years I had the garden.

How do you do a collage KeeWee? In laymans language or where is the information available?

Oh wow, I'm excited for you! I love hummingbirds. Lucky me, the Anna's hummers stay year round. But I just noticed last week that the Rufous hummers are migrating through. I got a good look at a male today - he's so gorgeous! Funny, I can tell the Rufous from the Anna's by the sound of their flight, the Rufous wings make a more "throaty" sound. Pretty soon, they will be up your way making some pretty babies!
