Perfect timing

Last night we had a good soaking downpour, which watered the onions and leeks I planted yesterday.

These too are happy to get a drink.

The columbine is not complaining.

Neither are these tulips.

Plants generally love a good downpour. As a result, flowers brighten up the next morning. They don't react the same if we pour equal downpour with water hose. Man made can never replace what's natural, i suspect. ~bangchik

Beautiful tulips! Nothing like rain to bring out the best of everything.

Hi KeeWee, you have lots of colour already in the garden and the veg will catch up with some mild spring weather

Hi KeeWee,
It is raining here today, too. I normally have onions planted by now, but our spring came late, and I have been busy in the kitchen. I did get some lettuce, radishes, spinach, and peas planted a few days ago. It's supposed to get into the 70s next week. I'll have to go to the garden center to see if they even have their onion plants in yet, and hopefully some pansies.

I love your springy header.

Thanks for your comments on my spring and kitchen posts.

Oooh, it's looking so good at your place KeeWee. I think everything must have enjoyed a soaking too. Your camellias sure are gorgeous.

I saw this same colored columbine at Home Depot the other day and almost bought it. I agree with Bangchik--plants react mysteriously favorable when watered by Nature as opposed to from the hose.
