Kia hora te manno
Kia whakapapa paumamu te moana
Kia tere te Karohirohi

May the calm be widespread
May the sea glisten like the greenstone
And may the glimmer of summer dance across your pathways

A new shade garden almost completed

I have made considerable progress towards completing my new shade garden. I did not really have a plan in mind when I started out, instead I just created it as I went along. I built the topmost terrace garden, then the next and so on. It seems it all fit together as I worked my way down and across the slope.
This is a garden i am hoping to leave unfenced. All the plants in it have had leaves taken off them, and offered to the rabbits who have turned up their noses, this is not to say that there won't be one rabbit come along and nibble anyway. I will wait and see what happens, if I have to fence the area, so be it.

Hi Jennifer~~ Looks like fun. The rocks are very cool and the soil looks scrumptious. I'm sure your plants will be very happy.

That's an adorable shade garden! Are you thinking about adding hellebores? That's the first plant I thought of when I saw your stone work, which looks amazing btw. So jealous.
