Kia hora te manno
Kia whakapapa paumamu te moana
Kia tere te Karohirohi

May the calm be widespread
May the sea glisten like the greenstone
And may the glimmer of summer dance across your pathways

I am lucky to have these

These are three of the surviving Geraniums I overwintered in the basement last year and almost forgot.

Ivy Geranium 'Black Magic'

Exotic Geranium 'Graffiti Double red'

Exotic Geranium 'Happy Violet'

There are four more, but they are not worthy of a photograph. Perhaps next year if I give them some TLC over the winter, they will reward me with some lovely blooms I can brag about. *grin*

I really should expand on my geraniums. Yours look good. What great sunflowers in your older post.

Well I am loving them all, but of course I must have a favorite. It is the black one.

Bragging is certainly allowed and expected when we work hard to grow plants. That black magic is such a neat color!

They are very pretty even if they did spend all that time in the basement! Your green thumb still has it's magic.

I've wintered geraniums but it seems like a lot of work. I really like your black magic. That one is worth the extra trouble;) Have a great day.

I've never bothered with geraniums ... Looking at these pictures perhaps we should :O)

I did the same thing, stuck a plain old orangey red geranium in the basement, and nearly forgot it. It's doing fine now, of course! I hope my Martha Washington geranium overwinters as well as it did, as it's much prettier! Like you, I sure don't want summer to be over anytime soon.

I love the black one too! I'm glad you remembered them ~ they are all definitely worth the trouble of overwintering.
