Kia hora te manno
Kia whakapapa paumamu te moana
Kia tere te Karohirohi

May the calm be widespread
May the sea glisten like the greenstone
And may the glimmer of summer dance across your pathways

Fragrant Thursday

Working in the garden where my Oriental lilies are planted, is a delight. The fragrance which wafts on the breeze, tickles the senses, and leaves one with a feeling of "life is good"

The scent really does carry and make working around them pleasant, yours are very pretty. I'm planning to add lots more next year, especially near the deck and front door.

I recently read about the different kinds of lilies, but the information is not in my head right now. I wasn't overly fond of the colors or shapes of the ones I planted last year, which bloomed this year for the first time. They were different from yours. Yours are pretty. I like the color and the curliness of the petals.

Your sentiments about them were calming to read.
