Kia hora te manno
Kia whakapapa paumamu te moana
Kia tere te Karohirohi

May the calm be widespread
May the sea glisten like the greenstone
And may the glimmer of summer dance across your pathways

Another Treasure

I stopped by the hardware & garden store to buy some fertilizer, and of course had to do a quick cruise through the garden department. This plant caught my eye.

Alternanthera-Purple threadleaf.
The narrow foliage resembles coleus leaves and what caught my eye is the outstanding foliage constrast.

The *rabbit pruned* primroses have done flowering for now and the container was looking rather shabby. The threadleaf should soon fill in the gap and flow over the side. I have put the planter up where the rabbits will not be able to finish the pruning job they started.

I am thinking of replacing the primroses with something else, Hmmmm another trip to the garden center in the near future.
