Kia hora te manno
Kia whakapapa paumamu te moana
Kia tere te Karohirohi

May the calm be widespread
May the sea glisten like the greenstone
And may the glimmer of summer dance across your pathways

Just breaks my heart.

This past Saturday, I happened to be in Wenatchee WA to attend a function, and decided to visit the house I used to live in. Back then I took pride in the beautiful garden and did not know what to expect when we drove up. I was shocked to see the place now, all overgrown and the house in a sad state. My friend and I walked all around, and found a foreclosure note taped to the front door. Enough said!

Oh, that is so sad. You must have been shocked to find your former garden in such a state. I bet it was beautiful back then.

I guess we should never go back. My former house...pretty much the same. The homeowners said that they were interested in gardening, but I can't see that after a couple of years.
It must have made you sad.

That's just terrible. I'm so sorry your beloved previous home is being neglected now. Maybe a young family with a gardener's heart will adopt it soon. Fingers crossed.
