Kia hora te manno

Kia tere te Karohirohi

May the calm be widespread
May the sea glisten like the greenstone
And may the glimmer of summer dance across your pathways

What is this

I thought perhaps it is a Hollyhock, but now I am unsure. Does anyone know what this dainty flower is?

Update: a photo of the leaves.

I should have given you a picture of the leaves in the first place Duh!
They are small, about an inch long, and the flower stem is a little over two feet tall.

Darn it, I want to know too. I will check back and see what other intelligent gardeners come up with. I thought Gaura, but not sure.

I can't see the leaves, but it favors my old fashioned geranium. Called Cranesbill geranium.

The flowers definitely look like verbascums..although the leaves threw me a bit. Oh, I just saw Grace's answer! A pretty bloom indeed! Do you remember adding them?

Very pretty. I think I've seen this in yellow... How did it come to be in your garden?

It does look like verbascum. I had a surprise yellow one appear in my yard this summer. I love the pink of yours.

Yes, the flower does look like Verbascum aka mullein. I love a plant hunt, so tried to see if I could ID the species for you. But Wikipedia (not my only source, honest!) lists such a ridiculous number of them that I curtailed my search. Have a looksee:
